We were informally established in 1962.

During the early years members primarily ran gas and nitro.  But in 1982, to comply with City Ordinances, the Club went from gas and nitro to safer electric and steam powered models.

In 2017, the PMPBA was registered as a formal non-profit 501 (c) (7) in the state.

Today our focus is the construction and operation of RC Scale Boats, military, civilian, pleasure, and working commercial classes such as tugs, freighters and fishing craft.  We host several formal and informal floats and regattas each year.

There is no judging of models at our regattas, our focus is to have fun, enjoy the camaraderie, and meet and develop new friendships in our hobby.
